Loadout Guide

This build has saved more games than I can count. I've built it based on maximizing mobility and survivability through the hoverclock + special powder combo. Those overclocks allow the scout to be anywhere in an instant and to take out priority targets from anywhere, even while in the air. This build excels in any situation that requires crossing large distances quickly such as reviving teammates spread far apart, repairing pumpjacks, grabbing aquarqs, or doing any mission in sandblasted corridors. While this build is extremely versitile, it lacks the ammo for good waveclear, so be sure to stay focused on priority targets and let your team deal with the rest of the swarm. Taking out groups of grunts in a pinch is easy using the blowthrough rounds on the Boomstick; bring Cryo Grenades to make the Boomstick even more powerful against groups of enemies by making use of the temperature shock mechanic. Cryo Grenades are also a great option because they can easily act as a "panic button" when you're surrounded by enemies and need to get away quickly. The only missions I would not bring this build on are ones that require lots of waveclear in tight spaces, swarmaggedon warning missions, or solo missions where you can't rely on your team to take care of the grunts. This build is also particularly good against mactera, so bring it on mactera swarm missions. (Also, bringing this build on critical weakness missions makes you feel like a god. You can kill a bulk detonator in three shots.)

Suggested Perks: Born Ready: Absolutely critical on this build. Allows you to alternate between hoverclock and special powder without ever having to take time to reload. Deep Pockets: Maximizes the amount of time you spend away from molly so you can stay mobile and not tied to the rest of your team. Heightened Senses: While not absolutely necessary, it will keep you alive when exploring ahead of the rest of the team. Field Medic: Another critical perk to bring. Not only gives you one free revive, but also allows you to do a normal revive quick enough where a single Cryo Grenade will keep the enemies around your teammate incapacitated throughout the entire duration of the revive. Iron Will: Not as good as you would think with this build, but still amazing. Allows you to revive yourself, but only if you manage to get a resupply or find some red sugar in time. Because this build's forte is in survivability, you don't gain much more than other builds would from iron will because of the guaranteed death after 12 seconds.
