Loadout Guide

I put this build together when the burst fire overclock was new, and I really wanted to make it work. Eventually, I settled on this: The burst fire is good for dispatching small trios/squads of grunts, cave leeches, macteras. and any other low armour medium health thing. If you use it by itself for too long, you'll run out of ammo.

The key is to use the burst fire with the cryo minelets, there's lots of ammo for the minelets to freeze bug guys, crowds of grunts, swarmers, and whatnot, use the burst fire to quickly deal with frozen targets.

Use the voltaic stun sweeper as a panic button, it's excellent for surprise groups of mactera. If you catch them stunned in a tight tunnel or just close to a wall, use the minelets to freeze em.
