Deal 80 Fire Damage per second and 80 Heat per second to all enemies within 4m of you. The Heat/sec stacks with the direct stream and Sticky Flames' heat sources as well.
If the direct stream kills a Burning enemy, there's a 50% chance that they will explode and deal 55 Fire Damage and 55 Heat to all enemies within a 3m radius.

Changes the Subata to fire in bursts of 2 bullets at 20 RoF during the burst. If both bullets hit an enemy, the second bullet gets +350% Armor Breaking. Additionally, -0.25 Mass and -4 Rate of Fire.

+50% Direct Damage dealt to Burning enemies. Bonus damage is Fire element and adds the same amount of Heat, extending the Burn duration.

Shooting an enemy that is afflicted with Corrosion, Sludge Puddle, or Neurotoxin will apply 2 Status Effects. The first one lasts 5 seconds, and each bullet that hits will increase the DPS by +3.2, up to a maximum of 30 stacks (96 DPS). After its duration expires, you must apply a new instance and start stacking it again. The second Status Effect lasts 4.5 seconds, and its duration can be refreshed. If an enemy dies while the second one is active, then they will explode and damage nearby enemies proportional to the number of active stacks of the first effect. The explosion does (60 + 20*stacks) Typeless Damage, and the radius is (0.5 + SqRt[stacks]) meters.

Weapon Notes
CRSPR Flamethrower Upgrades are set for fuel, range and Sticky Flame efficiency. Avoid spray directly on bugs directly if possible, douse the walls or ground bugs will walk to get the most of this weapon.
Subata 120 Upgrades set to deal as much damage as possible. Burn enemies with the Sticky Flames and then unload the gun, preferentially on a weakspot.
Tool Upgrades Notes
Reinforced Power Drills X-1-1-1 Nothing out of the ordinary here. This build doesn't require you to use the drills to attack.
Satchel Charge (C4) X-X-X-1 I use the Fear upgrade for this build as enemies running away can go walk again on Sticky Flames you’ve spread.
Throwable Impact Axe Personal choice.
Heavy Drill Suit 1-X-1-3 Breathing Room is always a safe choice.

Detailed Explanation:

CRSPR Flamethrower

  • Upgrades are set to have ammo, range and increase the durability of the Sticky Flames. Whether you want to pick more ammo or slowdown for Tier 3 is up to personal choice.
  • Fire it at the ground and/or at walls and let enemies walk over it. Regular Grunts (vanilla Haz 5) will die in one passing while Guards and Slashers will be heavily wounded.
  • Heat Radiance helps dealing with anything that gets unnecessarily close to you and quickly burns heavier targets like Praetorians for extra damage with the Subata.

Subata 120

  • Upgrades are set to more damage and weakspot damage.
  • Automatic Fire gives burst damage to enemies up to medium ranges. Burn tougher enemies like Praetorians and Oppressors and unload the gun at their weakspots.
  • Hollow-Point Bullets lets you deal with scattered Macteras quickly. Remember to fire in short bursts to keep the accuracy and not waste ammo. 144+12 bullets sounds like a lot, but it isn't.

Throwables

  • Impact Axe is my choice for this build since the Flamethrower is already an excellent crowd clearer and having a quick way to dispatch enemies like Spreaders, Macteras (with practice) and the like is always welcome for Driller.
