Charged Shots now deal their Direct Damage to enemies hit by the projectile while in-flight, but it no longer explodes upon impact (functionally removing Area Damage). Deals x3 damage vs Frozen targets. Additionally: x0.3 AoE Radius. Regular Shots do [5 plus 25% of their Direct Damage] Heat per shot which can ignite enemies, and 70% of the Charged Shot's damage is converted to Fire-element + Heat.
Shoot the Charged Shot with a Regular Shot before it impacts anything to make it detonate for 240 Damage and carve terrain within a 3m radius. Additionally: x0.8 Heat per Regular Shot and x0.8 Heat per Charged Shot.
Regular Shots now do 10 Fire-element Area Damage in a 1.5m Radius in exchange for -10 Direct Damage.

Loadout Guide

STRATEGY

  • Finish the Resonance Crystal Scan as per usual.
  • Make sure you have 100% ammo before starting the Drillevator Sequence. You will be using 4 C4, 4 Neurotoxin Grenades, and most of your Sludge Pump Ammo.
  • During the Drillevator Sequence, jump off of the elevator and dig into the wall, then throw a Neurotoxin Grenade into it. This will make it less blinding for your teammates and stop any possible Friendly Fire from the explosion.
  • Throw a C4 on top of the Drillevator, or on the upper part of it, then fall back down with your team.
  • When a group of Mactera show up, or a large amount of enemies get into the neurotoxin cloud, explode the C4. This will stun all of the enemies around the C4 in a 10 meter radius for 4-5 seconds.
  • Use the Sludge Pump to clean up groups of bugs and stragglers. Bold

NOTES

  • Thin Containment Field is not required, but recommended. The main components are the Disperser Compound Sludge Pump, Neurotoxin Grenades, and Stun C4.
  • You are taking all of the ammo upgrades on the C4, so you can stun all of the enemies in a 10m Radius 4 times over the course of the Drillevator Sequence.
  • If you are comfortable without Iron Will, take the Berserker perk for Single Target, or Shield Link for the Drillevator Sequence.
  • Both of the Tier 5 Upgrades on the Sludge Pump are good. It is mostly personal preference.
