"Bulldog" Heavy Revolver | 2-2-3-1-1 | Elephant Rounds |
Weapon | Notes |
---|---|
"Lead Storm" Powered Minigun | Your heavy duty crowd control tool. Aim at crowds and mow them down. Bullets that ricochet can hit the back of Oppressors if you hit walls close to its green glowing rump and will hit even cloaked Stalkers too. |
"Bulldog" Heavy Revolver | The tool used to single out problematic targets that would make you waste too much ammo with the primary gun. Stunning enemies first with the Lead Storm is recommended whenever possible. |
Tool | Upgrades | Notes |
---|---|---|
Zipline Launcher | 2-1-2 | Personal taste. Being able to fire at higher angles is always good in my opinion. |
Shield Generator | X-X-X | Again, personal taste. I prefer to build it for a longer duration. |
Throwable | Any | While Tactical Leadburster is my favorite throwable, but you really can't go wrong with the others. |
Reinforced Impact Suit | 1-X-1-3 | Breathing Room is always a safe choice. |
Detailed Explanation:
"Lead Storm" Powered Minigun
- Weapon upgrades set for damage and accuracy to compensate for the overclock’s big penalties.
- Aim the weapon at any group of enemies and fire at will. Improved Stun (Tier 3) gives this gun a pretty good crowd control ability and can help the team keep things under control by stunning groups of Mactera or dangerous enemies.
- Bullet Hell excels in killing Swarmers and Naedocyte Shockers-- aim at walls or the ground if they’re too close.
- Tier 5 upgrades, Cold as the Grave or Hot Bullets, is up to personal taste.
- Any bullet that hits an enemy has a good 75% chance of ricocheting to another enemy, some people opt for Blowthrough Rounds (Tier 3) for more killing power for this reason.
- Your aim doesn’t have to be perfect. The ricochet will make your shots bounce to another enemy even if you miss your shots close enough which is great to pick off Acid/Web Spitters bugging you.
- The ricochet can hit the back of Praetorians and Oppressors if you angle your shots at walls close to them and it has the added benefit of hitting cloaked Stalkers too.
"Bulldog" Heavy Revolver
- Upgrades set for ammo, accuracy and more importantly, recoil recovery since the overclock gives a nasty crosshair spread and has a very slow recover without Floating Barrel (Tier 2).
- With 24+3 ammo you can’t be too liberal with the Bulldog. Use this weapon to get rid of tougher targets that would dry the minigun’s ammo pool or ones that have easy to hit weakpoints like Praetorians, Wardens, Septic Spreaders, Tri-jaws, Spitball Infectors.
- Make sure you Stun enemies with the minigun first whenever possible so you can line up a good shot.
Throwables
- Tactical Leadburster is my choice for throwable due to its power and versatility. It’s great at crowd clearing and throwing one in front of a Bulk Detonator will do a lot of damage to it.
