After firing a line and a 0.4 second delay, the player can press the fire button again to manually detonate the line dealing 40 Explosive element Area Damage in a 3.5m radius and leaving behind a 3.25m radius sphere of Persistent Plasma that does an average of 35.56 Fire Damage per second and slows enemies by 20% for 4.6 seconds. If the player doesn't detonate it manually, the line explodes at the end of its lifetime.
Leaves behind a Persistent Plasma field that does an average of 20 Fire Damage per second for 4.6 seconds. The Plasma field's width is 2/3 of the beam's width, and extends along the entire length of the beam's path.

Dread-Me-Not

"Stubby" Voltaic SMG

  • T1: We want a bunch of damage, since the best option presented to kill a dreadnought is having more damage.
  • T2: Batter fire rate = higher dps.
  • T3: Extra damage = higher dps
  • T4: The only way you can even hurt dreadnoughts is hitting the weakpoint, so we might as well maximize weakpoint damage
  • T5: Better sustain fire is better dps

Breach Cutter

  • T1: Bigger mags are basically mandatory for the Breach Cutter
  • T2: More ammo is essential, we don't need a wider beam, and we don't need a damage increase because of the clean overclock.
  • T3: Quicker beam expansion allows use as a panic button against fodder enemies if you get stuck in a jam.
  • T4: Armor Breaking should help with the dreadnought and strips armor of any other bugs that happen to be present
  • T5: Plasma Trail adds just a little more dps

This build is intended for Elimination missions, as the Stubby and Breach Cutter are intended for dealing with the dreadnought, while the turrets and proximity mines are intended for dealing with weaker glyphids. This build is also part 2 of 3, I will be covering all of Engineer's weapons and their dreadnought killing potential. This build MAY NOT BE GOOD.
