Loadout Guide

Exact Build

This is the exact build I used for this week's EDD as a Solo Scout shown in this video: https://youtu.be/2o20Zgurxs4 The only reason why I decided not to use any overclocks for both my primary and secondary is to show people that this can be done as a Solo Scout without relying on overclocks. M1k as a base weapon is already very good, most of its OCs are just a bonus. Perks: Resupplier, Thorns, Born Ready | Dash, Berserker Grenade: Cryo Grenades

Alternatives for Solo or Co-op

M1000 Loadout Alternatives (XX12X)

As I mentioned above, you can pick whatever overclock you prefer for solo or co-op play. My recommendations are either Active Stability System or Minimal Clips (I personally used Hoverclock when I played the EDD as co-op). If you want to use Hipster, I have a Hipfire-Hipster build. Use that build for the M1k except just change T1 to damage (if you're doing co-op, see T1 explanation below) and T4 to weakpoint to build it for this EDD.

T1 - For solo, go with damage. For co-op, you can either go for ammo or damage. As I've said, EDD is three stages; you still need to be able to deal with other stages and unlike solo, you don't get the luxury of keeping all the resupplies to yourself so ammo is a good choice for co-op. But since there is a lot of nitra from all stages of the EDD, damage is still good choice too for co-op. T2 - For solo or co-op, you can go with either Fast-Charging Coils or Hardened Rounds. The former for optimizing against the dread and the latter to be able to efficiently deal with other stages of the EDD. You don't need Fast-Charging Coils though if you end up using Active Stability System OC. T5 - Whatever you prefer or normally play, doesn't really matter too much but I would recommend the stun.

Boomstick Loadout Alternatives (X1X12)

Pick whatever overclock you prefer, I recommend Jumbo Shells but if you typically use Special Powder then that's fine too. Boomstick build for solo is same as co-op.

T1 - Go with either ammo or damage. T3 - Go with either ammo or damage (pellets). You can do double ammo or double damage from T1 and T3. But if you choose to do one ammo and one damage, go with the pellets in T3 as the damage.

Solo Perks

For solo play, I would recommend using the same Passive perks that I used. Since there is plenty of nitra from Stage 1 (you should get 300+), you can take advantage of resupplying for the sake of getting back cryo grenades or health so Resupplier is needed in order to supply in the middle of a dread fight and also since there are a lot of swarmers. Thorns obviously for swarmers. Born Ready for increased quality of life to minimize downtime in reloading during dread fight. I normally use Field Medic in place of Berserker for co-op. But since this is a solo run, I went with Berserker. Make sure to use this wisely as you'll pretty much only be able to activate this once during the dread fight. An alternative to Berserker is Beastmaster to help alleviate swarm pressure.

Co-op Perks

If you're playing co-op, you can switch out Resupplier or Born Ready with anything but they're still good picks. When I played this EDD as co-op, I used Deep Pockets instead of Resupplier as I normally play Deep Pockets in regular co-op play anyway. For active perks, I recommend switching out Berserker with Field Medic.

Grenade

For solo, both cryo and IFG are good. Cryo is good to instantly kill swarmers as a panic button and to freeze the dread. IFG is also good for slowing down the dread allowing you to hit its butt easier. For co-op, both are still good but I would recommend IFG. In co-op, you can't really freeze the dread easily with cryo nades because of the player scaling. IFG in this case would be more useful. But cryo is still a decent pick as a panic button against enemies (swarmers, spitballers, brood nexus) or if you need to safely revive someone
