cool

El.F[trust me]

This looks like a really solid build and i think ive played with this before but I do want to mention that whilst it has the highest burst damage (besides maybe maybe cryo) its damage*ammo is actually far worse then cryo or flame by about 1000

Khronos20

Highest burst damage would actually go to [Sludge Blast] or [Ice Spear]. The total damage displayed in karl.gg for a weapon only considers base damage * total ammo, and is a bad metric if any build uses effects outside of base damage and ammo. For example, it does not consider the corrosive DoT damage from every CSP shot, which even though is not a focus of this build, is still a significant damage contribution (almost double the direct damage amount).

Khronos20

If the "Total damage" field actually accounted for the full corrosive DoT damage on every shot it would go from the displayed 8,640 damage to 21,312 damage. However, the "Total damage" field is also deceiving for CRSPR, which does most of its damage with Sticky Flames and the fire status, not direct damage. CRSPR is the most ammo efficient horde clear weapon in the game, but looking at a flawed metric like "Total damage" makes it look much worse.

I can understand having better trajectory with sludge shots can make a difference in range, but when you have the Subata with Explosive Reload as your secondary, having a larger magazine for the former weapon is better for the medium range targets.

Khronos20

The primary loadout recommends EPC, not Subata, which is why improving CSP range is recommended. Using CSP [VIM] with Subata [ER] is too much single target damage without enough horde clear. That loadout lacks an effective way to deal with Swarmers/Shredders/Naedocytes. Subata is a significant downgrade to EPC in almost every way, but if you are set on using it then it should be paired with a good horde clear build like CRSPR [Fuel-Stream Diffuser] or CSP [Disperser Compound]

You're right. Maybe having the Subata with Explosive Reload is too much singular emphasis, but there's still the option to used charged shots on enemy clusters, plus the HE Grenades for immediate cluster deletion. So I'm not entirely weighted on singular damage that way.
