SPOILERS: After playing this loadout several times, the Ripper just doesn't work with the rest of this loadout. The Impact Axe is just better to use in nearly every situation. The ripper is just a toy best used in "safety tunnels", which doesn't work for laying a wide mass of burning sludge and lingering plasma.
