**DISCLAIMER:** The interaction between Manual Heat Dump and Shield Battery Booster is not functional as of now. ------------------------------------ I present to you, a **seemingly unusable** Overclock, but actually a **powerhouse in disguise** : **Shield Battery Booster (SBB)**. **Improved Rate of Fire and Battery capacity, double the projectile velocity and more direct damage... If your shield is fully charged**. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, surprisingly, it is. - - - True to its name, this build relies on your **mobility** and ability to **annihilate your targets** before they can even reach you. Hence why I choose the following mods : * **T1B Improved Thermals**. **Less heat per shot** means I can **shoot longer before overheating,** effectively improving my "**Magazine size**". * **T2B Increased Particle Density**. **More damage**, speaks for itself. * **T4A Overcharged PCF**. Having **easily accessible CC** on top of **bonus damage** is invaluable for a build that prides itself in making you untouchable. - - - Then we get to the fun part of this build : the **interaction** between **Manual Heat Dump** (MHD) (T5A), **Hot Feet** (T3C) and **SBB**. At first glance, **intentionally breaking your shield** with MHD may seem completely crazy. However, it makes a lot more sense when you look more closely at the **interactions between SBB and your shield in general**. Indeed, when you **equip SBB** and **overheat**, the way your shields recharge changes drastically : **the usual delay before your shield starts regenerating is overriden**, meaning **it starts recharging as soon as overheat ends**. Moreover, your **shield regeneration rate** after an overheat is **tied to your armor mods**, hence why using **Boosted Converter (T1B)** is now an option, because it gives you **200% shield regeneration rate without any delay.** Adding **MHD** to the mix means that, if you **overheat manually**, not only your **overheat time cannot exceed 3.5 seconds**, but you also get an **on-demand Speed Boost** from Hot Feet and an **almost instant shield recharge**, **keeping your SBB uptime as optimal as possible.** - - - So? What more could we add to this you ask? A **reliable** and **responsive personnal defense weapon**, in the form of **Stuffed Shells** **Boomstick**. Nothing much to say here, it's a very straightforward mix of **power** (**T3C Pellets and OC**), **ammo (T1A) and rapid fire (T2A)**, which efficiently **deals with crowds and HVT** alike (thanks to **T4A Super Blowthrough** and **T5C Incendiary Shells**) when your primary is on cooldown, or simply when you want to blast a target to bits. **Simple, yet terribly satisfying.** Throw in some **IFG**s to add the final touch to this build and you'll be set for an amazing time down in the mines of Hoxxes IV. - - - This build is the **exact antithesis** of my **Burning Menace build**, in the sense that your **game plan** will mostly rely on your **ability to quickly eliminate your targets while remaining virtually untouchable thanks to your various mobility tools and assets**. It boasts an **intense and dynamic gameplay** that few other builds can match.
DISCLAIMER: The interaction between Manual Heat Dump and Shield Battery Booster is not functional as of now.
I present to you, a seemingly unusable Overclock, but actually a powerhouse in disguise : Shield Battery Booster (SBB).
Improved Rate of Fire and Battery capacity, double the projectile velocity and more direct damage… If your shield is fully charged.
Sounds simple enough, right? Well, surprisingly, it is.
True to its name, this build relies on your mobility and ability to annihilate your targets before they can even reach you. Hence why I choose the following mods :
- T1B Improved Thermals. Less heat per shot means I can shoot longer before overheating, effectively improving my “Magazine size”.
- T2B Increased Particle Density. More damage, speaks for itself.
- T4A Overcharged PCF. Having easily accessible CC on top of bonus damage is invaluable for a build that prides itself in making you untouchable.
Then we get to the fun part of this build : the interaction between Manual Heat Dump (MHD) (T5A), Hot Feet (T3C) and SBB.
At first glance, intentionally breaking your shield with MHD may seem completely crazy. However, it makes a lot more sense when you look more closely at the interactions between SBB and your shield in general.
Indeed, when you equip SBB and overheat, the way your shields recharge changes drastically : the usual delay before your shield starts regenerating is overriden, meaning it starts recharging as soon as overheat ends. Moreover, your shield regeneration rate after an overheat is tied to your armor mods, hence why using Boosted Converter (T1B) is now an option, because it gives you 200% shield regeneration rate without any delay.
Adding MHD to the mix means that, if you overheat manually, not only your overheat time cannot exceed 3.5 seconds, but you also get an on-demand Speed Boost from Hot Feet and an almost instant shield recharge, keeping your SBB uptime as optimal as possible.
So? What more could we add to this you ask? A reliable and responsive personnal defense weapon, in the form of Stuffed Shells Boomstick.
Nothing much to say here, it’s a very straightforward mix of power (T3C Pellets and OC), ammo (T1A) and rapid fire (T2A), which efficiently deals with crowds and HVT alike (thanks to T4A Super Blowthrough and T5C Incendiary Shells) when your primary is on cooldown, or simply when you want to blast a target to bits.
Simple, yet terribly satisfying.
Throw in some IFGs to add the final touch to this build and you’ll be set for an amazing time down in the mines of Hoxxes IV.
This build is the exact antithesis of my Burning Menace build, in the sense that your game plan will mostly rely on your ability to quickly eliminate your targets while remaining virtually untouchable thanks to your various mobility tools and assets. It boasts an intense and dynamic gameplay that few other builds can match.
