Colette with T3B and T5C just seems like a universally better version of this. What benefits does this EPC build actually have over it?

Correct, I actually have a build with the Colette now and plan to make a video including it.

That plasma pistol feels awful to use. Over heats the second the charged shot finishes charging and it has trouble igniting a praetorian before overheating.
