I fully agree with your logic behind the Plasma Carbine's Impact Deflection overclock. I mod the exact same way and it works great against all enemies.
The difference is that I actually pair the with the Boomstick with the Double Barrel overclock for immediate close quarter clearing and massive burst damage up close. Much more versatile and easier to use than trying to be diligent with the Zhukovs' Embedded Detonators.

Agreed. I did run with Double Barrel for a good while, but decided to change to Embedded Detonators because I was getting tired of being ambushed by Menaces and Spreaders and having no quick answer for them, it also helps quite a bit to get rid of Bulks and a few bullets deals with the falling rocks of the Ommoran too.

T2B is bad choice, bc you have most damage from 5 area DMG, that is constant (T2B increases only DIRECT damage, not AREA). So T2A. T1 - as you wish, but I prefer faster annihilation and more DPS, so I choose T1A. For the rest, good build, but I don't recommend to choose cryo and IFG, as long as they slow or freeze bugs, that is bad for impact deflection I think. So, phero or sweeper. Phero - almost 100% teammate revive and "15 seconds of security" for you and your team.
