I understand your priority is to freeze and then follow up with other forms of damage (or have teammates finish them off, but isn't it easier to outright kill what you spray the Cryo Cannon at? Saves you time in eliminating grunts and such that way. Even then, you can still freeze larger enemies and still follow up on them with anything you like.
